Depends how deep you pockets are?!?
I'd rather chuck the money at brad rather than a garage though.
You could always fit another engine, then split the old one for spares.
Well i aint exactly got Clowns pockets, i will DM Brad now.
sounds like a result then......the garage will take you to the cleaners fitting a new engine plus where would they source one from if its not brand new from fiat? you can get a good one on here with history.
ive got that gt3 bottom end that was rebuilt about 30k ago but im waiting on the money for this so its provisionally sold. if that changes i'll drop you a line.
Stick a wanted thread up
I'm sure even if brad does the engine change, head gasket and cambelt, it will still save you a big wedge.
Not really looking to do a engine change lol... But I would have happily done him the hg ect .. I got away with changing my big ends when my oil pump died, if this is what's happened to this the first thing I would have done is check the crank before carrying out any work on the top end.. there's a chance that the crank could be fooked
was the motor just losing coolant/gas getting into it or was it making any bad noises like a rumbling at all ?
I am going down to the car this weekend its 120 miles from mine, Apparently when the car turns over theres a rattle/tapping that when revved is louder, it wasnt losing any coolant but the header tank was gooey with water/oil mix.
