R W Developments - alloy boost pipe set

Dean at r w can knock up one piece boost pipes for the gt.
all very smooth curves and top welding.so he can run one long pipe from the turbo of 51mm to replace the steel 38mm pipe.the joiner on a standard ihi is a reducer so in fact a pipe 13mm larger coming off that aint a problem.
this would run around to your front mount straight into your 90 elbow.
the pipe from the intercooler to the inlet also fabricated as a single pipe.
should make for a great flowing set up.he can also sort the dv take offs and vac take off.
pricewise looking at approx £130.dean would need your car for a long day but check out his workmanship on the r w facebook page and youll understand why.
i might get mine done its just a question of getting xmas out of the way first.
this set up requires 3 fewer clamps on the inlet side and 2 less on the outlet side.
i mite be tempted to have the outlet side in two pieces with flanges and bolts or a joiner as the top boost hose commonly needs to come off the car and it would be a pain removing a one piece but wot do others think?

would need to check that a 51mm pipe wont be constantly getting bashed underneath.as its alloy not steel it could get lunched with one sleeping policeman....i should have checked this when mine was on the ramp.

Just went on a little search. I knew I had seen a full set of 51mm hard pipes somewhere. This could help? It also shows there is ample space for 51mm boost pipes in the 'box gap!

I want one of these stu but I was going to get a universal kit, intercooler and pipes off eBay, about £130 and then make my own pipes using silicone joints. Is this a better option to have it straight through with no joints or does it not make a difference.

Is that price for both pipes?
Also 51mm pipes wont get hit by speed humps as thats the size i currently have and the lowest part of it is the bend which comes directly from the turbo.
And ive never hit it on anything

TIG'd pipes will have less bends, better flow etc..

Cant find R W Developments on Facebitch, got a link please?

And Clarkster, i think you're right, better to have the top part (to the TB) separate from the outlet of the IC.

I would join it with Silicone and not flange and bolts. Flange always makes me lol

What kind of alloy would it be? And, excuse my ignorance, but can the alloy pipe cope with the heat from the outlet of the turbo?

Here's a link buddy, there's some really sexy weld porn on there! I love the G60 build myself, soooo shiny, and I don't even like shiny bays!
