    Glanzas/Starlets worth more than GTs?

Been watching a few of these on the bay similar sort of years and cant believe how much more they fetch over the GT. upwards of £2k! they are essentially similar machines with similar mileages. small 3 door hatches with small turbo motors.

    why the difference in values?

saw the last one get to £1950 on a 1997 P reg but that didnt reach the reserve! a 1997 GT would fetch something in the region of £1200 on a good day at the moment.....

now either theyve all been fitted with eibach arbs (bit of an in-joke there) to bump up their values or they are better in many respects than the fiat as a base car to start with.....stiffer chassis? more tuneable motor? better engine internals? better brakes? etc.....

I think the Japanese factor has a lot to do with it... Plus most of the Starlet/Glanza are imports too.

Its much more respected of a car than the Punto, and better in all the questions you asked!

Big market for them! Better handling an far more tuning parts an make big power easy and are lighter cars too an yeah better engines, td04 fmic, exhaust manifold an map are making 280bhp and 280lbft, no head work or cams! Got a load of mates with them, an they got more torque but there all chavvy noobs that own them

Better handling, easier to tune and pretty well built for. 90s car. A friend of mine has just bought another.

Can advance them cams better plus it's a cross flow head, so everything flows nicely unlike the punto! Also no manifold above heat! And turbo at the front keeping nice and cool and alot come with LSDs too

Much better car in every aspect. Puntos are good for straight line budget tuning
