    Downhill Project

Now i have my Downhill Fever back again i decided to build my own custom bike.

ALways prefered to build my own bike's rather than spend thousands on a completed one. That way i get it for allot less and choose the best parts for me.

I decided to go for a Rocky Mountain RMX 2.0 frame, Been after one of these for a long time but they were really expensive and got a bargain on this one.

Swingarm's One QR and One 12mm Bolt thro. The 12mm bolt thro black one has been powder coated white now.

    Front Forks Marzocchi 888 rc2x

    Fitted.

    Fitted brakes, gears and cables.

Brakes, Hope Mono 6-ti. 6 pot brakes

Off to pick up my rims Later and waiting for a few small things to come back.

    What you think?

    Looking good.

How much are you spending in comparison to a new built bike?

To get this built with the spec i have you'r looking at close to £3.5-4k

I'll be saving £2.5-3k. Bearing in mind that 50% of the parts i have are 2nd hand. Still it's a big saving.

It's ridiculous, The price on parts has rocketed in the last 3-5 years.
