Intercooler apparently damage by to much boost lol

I'm no expert, but surely turning up the boost to high would not bend an inter cooler out of shape!

I have seen an intercooler bent out of shape from raw power on a mk2 golf g60 converted to 1.8t running 500bhp dean built a nice new one out if 3mm aluminium plate as the guy is now aiming for 600+!! That one has bellowed out from boost you can tell by the shape of it!

Its a tube and fin design which were always cheap and weak. Thats why most these days are bar and plate design. This is knackered and should be binned.

Is it sells for 99p then the buyer is very silly.
