    Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo?

I have been looking at Fiat Coupe 20v Turbos for a new daily driver. I have never driven a coupe nor even sat in one.

I am looking for opinions and advice from those who have driven/owned one (first person that comes to mind is wilky).

Would you recommend one, things to look out for (other than the obvious cambelt change) and also.....what is the space inside like? I am nearing 6'5", will i fit comfortably?

    Thanks

I would recommend one to anyone. I loved mine when I had it, and was a nice reliable car.
The only issues I had were the the rear coolant hose burst, which is a common fault on them. It needed an exhaust manifold change, which again they're common for cracking. It needed a clutch and cambelt as well whilst I had it but on a performance car that's to be expected.

Depending on your budged I'd be trying to find a 6 speed model, a Plus or an LE. They have nicer interiors, 6 speed gearbox and were the last to be built so tend to have lower miles.

Recent cambelt and clutch would be on my wish list, garages and specialists charge a pretty penny to do both as there's not alot of room. I changed both of mine at the same time, pulled the engine out to do it.

For a coupe they're actually quite roomy, I'm 6ft and there was loads of room. I reckon a lanky 6ft 5 person should be alright as well. You'll have to have a sit in one to find out.

Thank you Wilky. Ye have read about the manifolds too.

The one i am looking at has had all belts done (twice as 97k now) and also had a recent clutch. Has had alot of work done at Toqrue Italia which seems to have a very good name on FCCUK. The car was also mapped by Leighton at FC performance.

Thanks for your comments and advice. I have been looking for an E39 530i for a while now and being fussy cant find one i like. Thought i would have a look at the coupes and now cant seem to persuade myself otherwise!

E39 530i's are cack, my mate just traded his m sport in for an s4

When I was moving away from puntos, it was a toss up between coupe 20vt, mr2 turbo or s14a 200sx.
Got the s14a due to be rear wheel drive and having 4 seats

Wasnt looking for speed from the 5, just a bit of luxury.

MR2s look quite dated now. Like 200s but something keeps drawing me to the coupe.

Very low mileage but i'm wary of that one. No mention of things like timing belt being done etc.
