keyboard set-up... please help :(

after formatting my PC, some **** happened to my keyboard, i cant do the Pound sign and "@" changed place

so..

when i press: Shift + 3 = "#" <--- i get this?

and: Shift + 2 = "@"

Shift + ' (@) = "

and i still cant find the pound sign

can this be fixed?

u have ur keyboard language set to English (Ameican)

go to control panel, then into regional settings and change it to English (United Kingdom)

however in windowsxp this feature is under

control panel,
regional and language settings,
languages tab
then select 'details'

why microsoft have hidden it this far away is unknown....
