alot of speedo's sit on a pin until 10/15/20mph so in many cases during the mot it would not be driven at a high enough speed to check the speedo, plus as i said its got the be obviously defective, we dont have to test it.

why are you picking on the 'speedo' issue and not the fact its got a de-cat alike many cars on here, which is far more likely to be found to be illegal, no one is permitted to drive your car to check the speedo works.

Because no speedo is dangerous. A few extra co2 isn't going to kill anyone... Oh wait. Lol.

I would pass this on a mot , speedeo doesn't come into it , even if the milage isn't present you can test to unknown milage

you can just use a gps anyway so its not really that big of an issue.
