As for the speedo you have stated it won't working so its down to buyer to either buy it or not, too much being made of it.

the MOT is only an indication of the road worthiness of a car on the day of the test and whilst an offence if pulled by the rozzers its not really the end of the world in the context of the honest sale here today on this forum unles youre the sort of person that will happily spend 6 hours cleaning your cars air vents with cotton buds and toothbrush.

anyone with even a little spanner ability could do this easy fix.

Nice car, always liked these and the new grey and black combo is ace and should drum up so many more enquiries than it would have with the orange wheels.

Why hasn't Beau fixed it then?

i have been told by the gtir specialist it will most likely be the actual dash pod that will need replacing, it will need a speedo cluster from a non-abs model in kph (they are not compatible from other models) , he doesnt have one in stock at the moment but did say when he does get one in, i can try it in before buying it to check its that, but his 99% it will be that as its fairly common thing.

That's good to know and pretty much the reason I bought it up. Not everyone who looks to buy this car will know the ins and outs of GTIR's so might be put off by the speedo not working.
