    Puntospares.com Punto HGT Trackcar@ Blyton Park 22/05/2013

Weather was good to us, damp track soon dried and we had dry running from then on

Car ran much better with the combination of Variator mod and decatted manifold, much easier and more willing to rev and the power was improved at high revs, the car ran really well again

On the second to last run I noticed car starting to pull to right, so took tyres of to have a butchers and found the front right tyre had 'given up' the metal banding starting to come through the inside side wall and the tyre deforming , but the tyres were all on there last legs, so cant complain

I shred the driving with the wife who is really getting into the trackdays and her speed and lines are coming on, when we got home she researched and bought a set of dunlop full slicks for the car!

yes my variator is advanced all the time, the car revs easilier and no knocking noise! not sure you would want to do it on a road car, the car behaves as if its had a high lift cam in, doesnt want to idle , but my cars built to go flat out everywhere so that doesnt bother me!

After I replaced my variator, I don't feel the advancement at all, now it's just smooth all the time. No knocking noise, so I am not bothered

yeah i wouldnt recommend it for a road car, but the popping on the over run does sound good though!
