    Whats the biggest alt that will go on the punto mk1 gt

    I've never heard of it being done on a gt.

    Why would you want to?

    the gt with A/C have a bigger alternator but there like rocking horse shi.....

    If i recall the a/c alt is 90 amp

    there is currently one on ebay at the moment for a large amount.

    however i do not know if any other things are needed to make it work without a/c

    Why would it need anything else. Alternators only need supply, earth and excitation?

    Use a power cap if your going for big bass, speakers an neons etc

    You'd be better off getting a decent second battery and split charging it. I have an Exide Maxxima in the boot of my old Punto and used a split charge relay to charge it. All my amps were connect to that battery. No alternator upgrade needed and it meant I always had power to start the car.

    Made 137.2db so plenty of bass and no problems with the car. (1.1 at that time so tiny alternator).
