    Unhappy Insurance is a joke.

Hiya didn't know where to put this so sorry if it is in the wrong place!

Driving test is next month *slightly pooing myself*

been looking a some quotes just incase I do pass as I would like to be able to drive by my self asap, and the cheapest quotes im getting are £5000! im currently insured on provisional, but only just realised I made the mistake of going with a company which is learners only!

Im 17 and a female with a 1.2L with no modifications!

any companies worth a try and have any other young drivers got any tips please as I am not made of money and cannot afford a ridiculous amount?
I know car insurance is a joke at the moment but would like to know if anyone else is struggling with insurance?

at the moment its looking like I will be off the road for a while and so will percy!

    thanks quys!

Add a parent as a named driver, that should knock it down a little bit.

There are so many variables as to what can make insurance expensive. Do you work? If you don't you won't be on the roads that much, therefore you can have a more limited milage policy. Where is the car kept overnight/during the day? Get a pass plus done after you pass, it's only £20, and most insurers will give a discount.

£20 for a pass plus? I paid about £100, but that was 8+ years ago.

If I didn't work, I'd be on the road more.

Psc members can get a good discount from a few of our sponsors, have a look around the forum, I believe we have 3 companies floating around.

Yeah it was £20 in 2009/10. No work = less/no money?
