Cheers Rach, my clutch slave cylinder arrived today from Euro carparts as my clutch pedal is as limp as a dick.

Problem is the fecking fluid pipe that screws into the cylinder is propper welded into it so im worried it will sheer off with a spanner, have soaked it in wd40 over night will have a look tomorow.

Fingers crossed i can actually move the car at the wkend

    And the new jobbie

Get a speed wrench, it will grip on any points it can, much better than a general spanner. That slave is the same as the 999cc uno ones and a few Alfa's aswell so should of been cheap enough, i got my clutch master from eurocarparts for about £30 about 4 years ago now.

Worse case scenario is you have to replace the clutch fluid pipe from the master to the slave, take it to a garage once off and get them to make it up out of brake pipe and use your old ends or new ones, bend to shape and fit :P

Also as you are replaceing the fluid and the slave cylinder anyway you could use Oxy/Acetylene to heat the nut up which i do occasionally do when bleed nipples are really tight, espically on vauzhall wheels cylinders as they are alloy and the steel bleed nipples like to seize in -.-

    Good luck mate

a solvent spray degreaser and a toothbrush will see good results on those stubborn oily bits.
