Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2 in car heater not working

Thanks very much another one for you when I plug my sat nav in the cigarette lighter to charge it like smokes and burns the end of my sat nav plug it does all different plugs too any ideas ? The fuse is okay tho

Yes im thinking its had a coin in it too at some point. Im pretty sure replacements are available on ebay very cheap. Id rip it out a stick a new one in.

I have a problem with my daughters car, could get heater working if I juggle about with the switch, which leads me to think it is switch problem. Can now rotate the switch right round as it has been forced a bit, heater comes on in a couple of positions but a bit erratic (which still makes me think its the switch) have had the resistor out and in a couple of times but no difference. i have read about the probability of it being the resistor, but not sure. Also don't know how to get at the switch, don't want to wreck the car !
Anybody any Idea's ! ?
