why is GT insurance so expensive?

i have 2 sets of 4 years no claims, so i always try to keep them both going by having 2 cars, my cinq is way off being road worthy atm, and i think i may sell my grande punto to free up some money to go towards savings, so i thought i know, il get a gt, should be cheap to insure now surely....

my quotes on other cars:
Noble M12: £570
my Maserati: £909
abarth punto (with SS 180bhp kit) : £690


and then.....
Punto GT: £1040

so maybe i wont get one then

indeed, shame mk1 uno turbo's are going up in value now, id rather one of them but cant just pick them up £1000 any more

Of all the cars I have considered, the Punto GT has had the highest insurance quotes.

Tbh I can insure my s4 cheaper but I didn't shop around as was bit of an impulse but lol. But I have bit of a wrap sheet of convictions too, 3 points, 28 day ban, etc etc lol
