So at this point Dunc is very keen and makes an offer. At this stage the car is at 2800 on eBay so our offer is very generously above that, we're told the reserve is £3700 but is vey keen on our offer and doesn't want eBay fools turning up.
Our offer would be very much considered over night which was fine.
One hour later returned home the eBay bid has gone from 2800 to 3700 with ONE single bid, slightly cynical I'm afraid......

Are you sure its just one bid? I thought eBay just latched the next legibale bid on until you're the highest bidder? Or is it different when bidding on a vehicle?

Yeah one bid, when I left my house it was at £2800 with 4 bids when I got home it was at 3700 with 5 bids lol had to be very lucky to out bid with one single bid and with so much aswell.
Usually people bid in a few hundred right not 900+ in one hit without viewing ect
