Nice, My boyfriend had a miami blue 1.9 gti with an alloy block mi16 / 1.6 box, was way faster than when my punto was 170bhp, he actaully over took me and left me when i was giving it some lol.

Check the rear beam (its probably seized) as they seize up if not used and you wont get to appreciate how good these cars handle when the rear beam is in good working order, ps you will never get a punto to handle like a sorted 205.

    Have fun!

these were the hot hatch to have back then but can be a little twitchy and scarey on the limit.
don't know about anyone else on here but when you drive one of these it feels as though you can chuck it around any corner at any speed.
a mint low miles one can fetch as much as £4,500 now
i love the old 80's cars

Yep when I had a go of my mates about 6 years back, seems that the driver will run out of bottle before the car reaches its limits lol

Yes you will get a GT to handle as well as, if not better, than a 205. Problem is spend the same cash on 205 suspension and it will be incredibly good, if it doesn't fall apart first.

    Once again in dream land!

Not going to happen the pug will destroy a punto handling wise no mater what you bolt on/add that's why Pugs are renowned for their epic handling.

    Stop being a fool.

Spent £2k+ on a GT and it will out handle a standard GTI. Note the word standard. Spend £2k+ on the Pug as well and it will beat the GT hands down.

Yes the 205 is a great handling car that but doesn't mean it's not beatable.
