Water pump gasket and bonnet release holding clip (GT3)

I need the above, I'm not sure what keeps the red bonnet release lever (it's under the steering wheel, high on the left) from jumping out of it's cradle, its always been like this since I've had the car. Are all Puntos of that year, even non GT's using the same release mechanism?
Geting new second hand water thermostat to test and forgot about the sealing gasket, don't know what it looks like until I remove the old one, too late then if I have'nt got a correct replacement.

for the water pump if youre replacing the whole thing as a complete unit then you need the thick cardboard like flat gasket to mount it to the back of the engine block.

if youre only replacing the "outer" impellor/pulley part of the pump this requires a rubber sealing ring approx 3 inches in diameter between it the mating surface on the pump housing. try a motor factors for the right one.

I wouldnt risk a used water pump myself as its such a pain to renew them unless you know its barely used and will be reliable. Brand new ones are only £35 (light pump) and come with the right gasket and usually a 2 year warranty.

i have that part and i may have a gasket make me a offer on it if its the part that goes under the steering wheel that complete with red pull ?

Have you got a picture of the red lever clip?.
Is the thermostat gasket new?
Haven't got a clue as to worth, maybe couple of quid plus postage, for both?
