    Personally from a Technicians view, 7 and 8 are the same apart from the start menu.
    As soon as you click desktop your back as windows 7 was.

    From having a play around with it, without a touchscreen it was a right pain to get used to.
    With a touch screen the UI is amazingly easy to use. But for normal keyboard and mouse use its just to big and bulky.

    If having the latest stuff is a must! then there are tweaks you can download to put the old start menu back so it will be like using Windows 7 again

    Windows Vista is utter ****. Almost as bad as Windows ME.

    I went from vista to 7 ultimate. Not such a big change to the interface but lots of improvements behind the scenes.
