    MK1s ? 3 gt, 1 75sx and I have a complete (ish) gt and a sporting in the que!

    decrease the numbers and increase the value? it is a shame but some gt's are really shot and beyond saving.

    Rot seems to be the main killer of the GTs Iam afraid to sy, the blue one i broke a while back left its floor on my trailer when the scrapman lifted the shell with the claw

    the only good shell from a mk1, was a 5 door , it was mint! no rot at all

    They rot exactly the same as any other car of its age, and in the same sort of places.

    We all know that quite alot of them end up being ill looked after once the original purchasers or enthusiasts sell them/move on.

    tend to agree, with GTs, we are talking about cars that are now a minimum of 14 years old now, but my point being especially with the mk1 punto most things are still working, but the rot gets to them, in some ways mk1s are actually built better? but no car manufacturer is going to build a car that lasts for ever, or there would be more stainless steel cars around!
