There's a very short answer to what you've just wrote leave it as it is, just buy 2 new t1rs for 125£ from eBay
24000 miles out of those are great. For some reason I doubt my new pair of t1rs are not going to last that long :/
Im going to be shopping for some front boots soon as my Toyo T1-Rs are looking a bit tired now after nearly 2.5 years and 24,000 miles. The ride comfort on them is great on my medium coilover settings.
They gripped nicely when I had my old Eibach roll bars on the car.
Generally Ive been happy with them but wonder if I should look at a different spec of tyre. Continentals seem to have a good rep and the TV adverts bang on about them having better braking characteristics if they are to be believed.
What do you guys think? Size is 195/45 x 16 on coupe wheels. Is it worth looking at 205/40s perhaps? That might ruin my comfort but possibly reduce tramlining.
I want something which will give me another 2 - 3 years of reliable life (never had a puncture on these) so fast wearing but super performing tyres wont be on the shopping list. I also cant afford them anyway Budget is around £100 a corner.
The back tyres still look like new and are the same so is it best to just keep the fronts the same then when all 4 Toyo's are worn out then go about looking at a completely new tyre set up?
