cheers for that buddy. yeah a couple of my mates are building up mini's they have gone all-out A-series though, serious money spent, straight cut 'box, full webers, seven port heads. personally i can't see the appeal when they will spend 4k on just the engine when i could rip a pgt apart and have easy power and relatively cheap tuning capabilities. are you staying 1.4? or considering 1.6 or stroker?

4 k i would want bmw head on for that ,have you looked at rover vvc engine transplant ?
yes it does go well
inlet mani fitted , plumbing rad in an moking up air filter piping
bit of update front wouldn't fit on due to fitting gt head an thermostat the rad wouldn't push back enough so went an fitted the uno water pipe an thermostat
also had to cut the front as fitted a bigger fan (can get rad out saves taking front of an for spark plugs )
should been running in few weeks
well from simple engine swap to nearly a full rebuild
here few updates engines all running now sweet but found bit of tin worm ,so sills where patched up where needed ,roll cage has been powder coated also floor was cut up to allow for new seats (to sit lower )
