    Hobor becarful lol

No damage Andre just a pain to fix in this cold. Was out with brad last night and is still running fine.

Kyle the woodruff key in the crankshaft, breaks and damages the pulleys. Here:

    Both sides gone loss?
The 36mm Nut can get a lot of torque.
Check the flatness of the crankshaft. Something is crazy there.
Sure no main bearing cap is at the wrong position???

To the cracked block, Punto 1.6 MPI I measured 2-3mm wall thickness at a bore of 87mm. Engine had 250hp. Spark plug damage killed the block.

With bad pistons without good off set you have higher forces onto the wall and you will find a crack later.
Open the crack and check the surface.
Old crack or over stressed crack. Fatigue crack etc.

It's the second crack I know from in 10 years where I'm reading about cracked blocks. The other was 1.3/1.4 engine with a bore of 87mm. Hörmann tried this as far as I know 20 years ago.

Some youth in Norfolk cracked a 1.4 block from the forum in a similar way but it was only ~200hp.

Only cases from the big bore I mentioned.
When you drive without water and you fill on cold water into the hot engine you also can crack the block.
A friend happened this - stupid....

Why does'nt the x1/9 block take the stilo crank?

I thought all the blocks were more or less the same, same bore spacing etc.

That's what I thought. It isn't the case.

No. There were a lot of differences in the cast.
