    Advice on what to buy

    After a bit of advice on what products to use really. The guy I bought the S4 from was quite into detailing and keeping the car mint, now I'm not after spending a weekend cleaning but would like to keep it looking good by cleaning it regularly.

    So any pointers as to what I should be buying, techniques, etc.

    Thanking you

    I think you need some toilet paper? Thats what you use to polish turds no?

    Joking my man.

    Ive been using auto glym
    Products on the cab. Just for something to do.

    Not too sure if it will be a similar goal though as the ultra deep gloss is rarly used on other colours aside black in my experience.

    All you need really is some decent shampoo, lambswool mitt, drying towel, and perhaps some quick detailer spray. That sort of thing is ideal for beginners / just keeping your car in order between big detailing sessions.

    I sell as part of an aftercare kit;

    * mitt
    * drying towel
    * small detailing brush
    * 1ltr shampoo

    For £25. So you don't need to spend the earth just for regular washing/maintenance.
    If you have any car care related questions, ask me in the Cleaning/Detailing section.

    You need some buckets to be using grit guards too Cal.

    Two buckets with grit guards, TBM will really show up how much **** you wash off with a mitt.

    I was always happy after a good foam to just use one bucket and a grit guard INSTEAD of two buckets!

    Get soem opaque or clear buckets and you'll see for yourself.

    If you have a pressure washer, getting a snow foam attachment and a 5litre bottle of foam is a good investment too, will last for ages and helps to dislodge the surface crap before you get physical on it.

    The lance on my pressure wash is one piece, but it does have a separate feed for detergent on the pump so could just get a bottle of snow foam and let it mix that way. I'll get a bottle on order I think.

    Cheers

    Unless you use the foam neat

    Yeah get two buckets and you'll be amazed how dirty the one bucket is yet how clean the other stays.
