I rather liked the super-shortened Mini Clubman and the "souped-up" '50s Vauxhall. Excellent collection of photos, Dan.

Does your mate with the Clio live in 'a rough part of town'? Those fake bullet holes wouldn't fool the more serious villains! Still, each to their own, eh?

By the way, what's the story with 'Le chat d'or'?

I'm a fan of the Lotus Europa Twin Cam (a.k.a. the fastest breadvan in the West), I used to lust after those when I was a lot younger. Until I blew off my mate's Elan Plus Two in my Golf GTI, that is! Mwah-ha-hahh.

It's actually a Ford Zephyr Tim! Was burnout king on Friday, just say there munching rubber.

No cars are on track on Fridays and most of the road sections are reopened and alot of folk just get beer'd up, cars join about all day and then get off into LeMans for a knees up.

Oh dear, signs of a failing memory already?! It did look 'seriously pokey', as we used to say (is this still in common usage?).

I didn't realise anyone from here was going. I was camped near the london bus. In fact you can see our camp in the shot of the rx7. We was on a 23 man stag week. Fliping epic! First time I've been to Le Mans but defiantly not the last.
