Abarth Grande Punto, Punto Evo & EsseEsse related stuff

Dutch AutoWeek (with English subtitles) test of Abarth Punto Evo (APE) EsseEsse:

Note that the Evo variant has annoying hazard warning activation under heavy braking, severe bumps and an irritating "shift up" dash indicator (when not in Sport mode?). And guys, my AGP SS cost only 8,500 (less than 1/2 its new cost) after 3 years depreciation, can you say that about a Clio?

Good Swiss visual presentation of the Punto Evo EsseEsse:

I have to say that I prefer the Grande Punto to the Punto Evo of the same flavour, for various personal reasons.

Abarth Grande Punto (AGP) EsseEsse (180bhp) High speed (0-149mph) run down the Autobahn:

Darn, it's really quiet in the cabin, but it gives you a feel for it.

A bit of an idea how Sport mode acceleration (overboost) looks and sounds:

An Italian-tuned (235bhp) Abarth Grande Punto (AGP) on the rollers:

Rally Abarth Grande Punto S2000 sights and sounds:

Apart from the styling changes, the main difference between the Grande Punto and Punto Evo is the introduction of the MultiAir engine:

I hope you enjoyed the selection.

Yes, Sport mode is quite aggressive, stiffens up the PAS effect, gearchanges need to be well-timed or you get quite a kick-back coming off throttle. He may have been hitting the rev. limiter though.

Ah right! Either way sounds sweet, must be quite nice to drive.
