Contact Ebay, obviously.
He has entered into a contract via Ebay to sell the item, so Ebay will deal with it. You probably won't get it, but if it stops gits like that using Ebay then DOOOO IT.
I won a GT last night on ebay and messaged the guy straight away so i could collect it today. And he's messaged me back saying i can't have it because he's sold it someone else. I think its because it didn't fetch as much money as he was expecting. Now i don't know what to do. Anyone else had this happen??

What a prick he should have ended it then, which gt was it??
In that situation I think the best you're gonna be able to do is give him some negative feedback
Was it the '98 orange one? If so, I'm glad you outbid me.
As others have said, report him to ebay. You won't get the car, but they might restrict his account.
Oh, and, name and shame the twat!
Yeah it was an orange non runner, was goin to fix it up. Proper pissed off
jakebarlz2007 is the persons username
Yep, that's the one.
"Please no messers or idiots, welcome to view BEFORE auction ends .... no arguing or battering ... u pay the price you win it for ..." he wrote. As if his actions aren't those he wants others to avoid.
If he doesn't set a reserve, nor cancel the auction before it ends, nor insert a caveat about "I reserve the right..." then he's clearly in the wrong and a cheapskate to boot.
File an issue via the Resolution Centre. It will probably take a while and I doubt that you'll get the car. Alternatively, you might try politely enquiring of the seller whether he's holding out for more money, if you really want this one.
He's just done a cancellation of purchase but hasn't told ebay why. In the reason for the cancellation it just says 'other'. I will be pissed off if i see it back on in a few weeks with a high starting price.
