Thought id up date this as its been a while.

We decided to tie the cage in to the front suspension turrets

This is the intermediate bulk head coated in epoxy mastic, we have left a section at the front bare for the moment so we can weld in a fabricated strut brace that ties into the bulk head rail.

Refurbed and painted master cylinder bracket

We decided to stitch weld the transverse links and semi trailing arms, whilst we were at it we converted the semi trailing arms to accept a rose joint instead of the standard bush so we can have some proper geometry adjustment, sorry for the lack of photos on the welding part but i managed to delete them.

    New rose and ball joints

The hubs were shot blasted and new wheel bearings were put in, again i don't have the pics of the hubs after being blasted.

The drive shafts had all the rust removed from them and then every suspension related part was coated with epoxy and then finished in anthracite wheel paint.

Lower suspension bolted to the car

The plan is to get the car back on all four wheels so that it can be moved about for access etc, were just waiting on a set of brackets which are being made atm to mount the willwood calipers, the cv boots need changing so after that it should be back on all four.

Will update soon with some more progress.

Went and picked up the caliper brackets today, pleased with how they have came out

We used alfa 164 twin spark disks as there slightly larger at 257mm in diameter same as the gt i think, the only problem was that the inside diameter of the disk fouled against the hub so both were machined slightly.

Our wooden mock up that we gave to the engineer as a rough template

    The brackets

    Caliper bolted to the hub

Looking forward to bolting these on the car and getting the wheels back on, will be able to crack on with the rest then.
