Brilliant! Look forward to more details, really don't see many of these!!
Hi im Lewis Rachels boyfriend, i have an alfasud which is an ex race car that I use for track days etc, im currently converting it from a 1.7 8v to a 1.7 16v on weber 40s and megajolt remapable ignition, i thought as its italian and a bit different you might like to see how it will progress
First of all were going to strengthen the front end as it has cracked and more power will only make it worse, were going to seem weld the engine bay and weld some support braces in to strengthen the inner wings. We are also changing the front brakes to 4 pot willwoods to reduce unsprung weight and increase breaking etc.
Ive just started to strip all of the underseal off of the inner wings, then on sunday we will drop the engine out so the engine bay can be prepared.
Heres some pics of it on a track day before the conversion, and some of the work being carried out etc.
Brilliant! Look forward to more details, really don't see many of these!!
There getting pretty rare now they all rust really badly, but this one is solid as has been in the garage with a de humidifier and we try not to get it wet.
Weve had 2 previous to this one which have just disolved on the drive lol.
I always liked the styling of the Alfasuds, from when I lived in Milan, especially the Tis and Sprint Veloces, but they really were infamous for being prone to rust. Good to see a great example.
I'll let you off for driving a ka as a daily ! This car is very nice
Are they normally a flat 4 or is that a impreza engine you've fitted?
Don't know much about these as you can tell
Nice cars! There always flat 4
This is a engine with lots of torque !
