    New to detailing...

    Right

I'm fairly new to detailing, but it's something that I want to get in to, as there is nothing that annoys me more than a dirty car. I just have a few questions.

First of all, I'm guessing this has been asked many times before, but what is the correct order to clean the car?

    I'm guessing:
    -interior
    -wheel cleaner / tyre gel
    -shampoo
    -rinse
    -dry
    -exterior trims
    -clay
    -paint restorer
    -polish
    -wax

Is that right? Or have I missed anything?

Also, what is the best wheel cleaner to use? I have heard that it is best to use some sort of deironizer as this removes the brake dust, what is good and cheap?

Another question, it is better to use wax or sealant on broom yellow paintwork?

I am collecting some stuff to start detailing with, anything I should avoid?
    I have:
    Autoglym shampoo
    Meguiars tyre gel
    Tcut clay bar
    G3 paint renovator
    Autoglym super resin polish
    Meguiars carnauba wax
Autoglym fast glass and interior shampoo
    Meguiars back to black

    Cheers

you can do the interior after because of the door seals etc most products are good if you know how to uses them correctly e.g g3 is an amazing product i prefer using g6 gives a better finish

I can't be bothered to do private work, if I did I wouldn't get a day off.

I don't mind doing the odd mates car now and then. But would like it for a weekend.

Still quite busy mate. Generally speaking, the people who are looking for a service like this are those with high disposable incomes. I've been busier YTD than last year.

I am doing a few exhibitions at shows this year, starting with one on B/H Monday in 10 days time. Which is why I've not had much time for this forum or the others I'm on tbh. I keep thinking I should become a supporter on DW for advertising and show casing my work to a wider audience, but I just haven't really got time to do the work, the admin, prospecting, and keep up with social media etc.. so ultimately, the work takes priority.
If you have any car care related questions, ask me in the Cleaning/Detailing section.
