Well I met a father and son pairing today when they came 70 miles to look at my GT turning up in a mint condition H reg fiat uno.
Both were real gentlemen, i left them to look under, over and around the car and the big pile of paperwork with it then after some chat i took them for spin (which got a couple of big grins) and they both love the car - the father said he wasnt going to insult me with a silly offer and a price we were both happy with is provisionally agreed.
collection is likely to be on return from holiday next week and then its bye bye Punto GT.
not guys from here but they are seriously into fiats/lancias/alfas and so it takes away some of the pain of parting with it knowing it will go to a very good home and not get chavved up with 20" wheels or silly bodykits etc. They want to keep it exactly as it is now and just polish it. This is likely to appear on the show scene (Stanford Hall, Brooklands/Auto Italia etc) and stick around for many more years so I am very happy its future is a bright one.
