    My Mint GT3 For Sale

    Time to sell up my pride and joy (probably my last GT now out of 6 over the years) as I am currently not working. A very regretful decision to sell and the older hands on here will know I love this motor to bits. I have owned it for nearly 3 years.

    Condition wise it must be one of the best GTs remaining and I believe there are probably only 4 or 5 left in the UK in this particular ducale grey metallic that came in 1997.

    This GT has no rust and I knew I had got a good one when I went to view it in 2009. First job when I got her was to check for corrosion all around and underneath. I found some minor spots underneath which were taken back and treated then resealed and Ive done the same ritual after every winter. As a precaution the doors and rear quarters were treated along the bottom edges and seams. The arches, sills and floorpan are mint/solid. V5 is present and I will require the buyer to complete their portion during the sale/handover. I can take you for a drive in the car.

    Tax doesnt need renewing until 1st October
    MOT - expires 7th May 2013 MOT carried out 2 weeks ago by Motormech. It sailed throuhg with no advisories or work required.
    Miles now 128,500. It was 105,853 when purchased July 2009 so barely 22,000 miles in my ownership or about 7000 a year.

    Comes with the original blue key, red master (with code tag attached) and the original factory alarm box on/off key (2) plus both locking wheel nut keys, all the owners manuals and original service book. All my major jobs have always been carried out by Paul Gilbert of fiat specialists MotorMech.

    The interesting stuff; 12 month old RSX coilovers (still warrantied cost £550), Magnecor ignition leads, GT1 front and rear door cards (these were the best type), custom mapped live on the road by FC Performance with paperwork, FMIC behind a standard uncut GT bumper, Forge recirculation valve, polybushed front end, powder coated Fiat Coupe 20vT alloys in Coupe LE Titanium grey (you can eat your dinner off the inside of these wheels, no curbing damage either), New Abarth centre caps and dust caps, Dawes device set at 18psi running at least a conservative 160bhp, the paintwork was a little tired so I had the car fully resprayed 2 years back in the same ducale metallic colour, windows out bumpers off, new badges fitted etc. so you can tell from the photos she is in brilliant condition. During the spray I had the passenger door delocked. The stuff on the B pillars that goes all crinkly with age was removed and the posts painted satin black during the respray work. The roof didnt need painting so that was mopped.

    Goodridge braided brake line (6 line) kit fitted with DOT 5 fluid.

    Replaced the following in the last 2 years;
    The less interesting stuff (all new); battery (still warrantied), rad fan switch, thermostat, alternator, starter, rear subframe bushes, radiator, rear discs and pads, 4 x brand new tyres still lots of meat (Toyos), exhaust downpipe/flexi. All 3 engine mounts have been renewed. New OE expansion tank. Stainless 2.25" cat-back exhaust with up slash cut tailpipe (sounds beefy but not irritatingly loud).

    Replaced in the last 6-12 months;
    Track rod ends, front control arms, front strut top mounts.
    Timing belt, tensioner and the auxiliary belt renewed at 111,546 Feb 2010 receipted.
    Lots of history receipt and paperwork plus old MOTs. Its only ever failed the MOT for the orange film on the rear indicator bulbs wearing away.

    Will come with a lot of spare GT parts too. Plastic petrol tank fitted last year with new fuel filter.

    FCP carried out a compression check before the custom mapping;
    178, 180, 172, 172 so I believe this is still a very healthy strong motor. Its very strong off the line and can push some very unlikely cars up the road.
    Starts, idles and drives perfect. All dash lights come on and go out as they should.

    If you want a tastefully modified, mint condition GT with no rust/structural/mechanical worries and that you wont have to spend any cash on for a good few years this is for you and its legal to drive away and enjoy just before the summer kicks in.
    Red backlighting on the main cluster.

    Front doors and rear quarter panels have had 2 layers of sound deadening Dynamat type material fitted to reduce NVH levels. Everything works. Temp and oil pressures spot on. Hardly uses oil and the recent coolant leak I had has now been sorted.

    Passenger window sluggish going up
    Tiny 10mm crack in windscreen when I got the car, its never got any bigger and not affected my MOTs.
    Auxilary belt making a little noise on cold starts which soon subsides after a minute.

    £1,900 cash on collection. This is not a beaten up or abused GT. Ideal for somebody who likes to clean the air vents with cotton buds! Needs to be viewed to be appreciated.

    Drop me a PM for contact details or email any questions to stuart.clarke@blueyonder.co.uk I can send you additional photos.

    Wow, but I don't think you will get that amount of money tho, but I think it should sell for £2000 to the right person tbh

    I'd lock it up somewhere for a few years If I owned this car Very nice but really going to struggle to get what its up for although to the right person it would be worth that.
