I'm with the AA, they've helped me out a couple of times as you know. Never heard any complaints - they've always arrived earlier than the ETA they give you on the phone aswell.
Soon to be travelling all the way to Newquay (6hr trip) so thought this would be a good idea.
Can anyone give me any advice on which one to go with??
Cheers
Timmos

yeap, the aa are good 8)
I got free lifetime cover with the AA due to my dad being the regional director for the north of england
Helped me and mates out a load of times, even got to test drive the smart cars from the advert for a few days lol.
AA and RAC pretty much the same
about £40-45 for annual membership for basic package and after a year you are likely to be offered free homestart for staying with them.
Can get breakdown cover free with some insurers too
autonational directs top package is about £60.
but what is there average response time?Originally Posted by aimee

Pretty good so far, you get a free car check each year your a member to which is quite handy!!
Responce time was within 10mins when i called them out!!
oh and you are covered rather than the car so if your in someones elses car you can use your cover to call them out!!!
Don't know...never had to use them (which is quite good for a Fiat)...but as long as they come and get me im not bothered!
i'm with aa cos me car came with 3 years aa assistnace and its everythin
however!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as i have bodykit and car is lowered they couldn't recover me as i req specialist recovery!!£200 i needed either high ab lift or the fully de- mountable thingy which req 40ft off road lol
so just rem to ask if u need specialist recovery!!!!
