    Fiat Punto GT Clutch!

After waiting a few weeks to get a new clutch fitted in the gt,
i finally got round to fitting it yesterday after phoning up & giving them all the details ( make, model, reg, year, ECT ) only to find that they have sent me the wrong one.
the clutch on the left is the one that i recieved, & the right hand one is the one i took out of my old engine,

could someone tell me if there are two different sizes of clutchs for the gt?

The one i recieved was a LUK, and the one i took out is a borg & beck, which out of the two would be a better to have fitted.

It will either fit, or not at all.

    Have you offered it up?

I know its not going to fit, The reason behind this thread is why the one i ordered is smaller,
I want to know if there are two different sizes of clutch for the punto gt?
Which clutch is better LUK or BORG & BECK?
Not if im going to or have offered it out.....
As it dont fit it will be going back to where it came from!!!

The clutch i removed from my old engine thats in the shed looks perfectly ok, it was taken from another engine from the same year, and would fit mine, but the one i ordered dont fit,
    WHY IS THIS?

There's one size clutch for the gt, they've sent you a lower spec models clutch. Either they've ballsed up n complain, or if your driving a converted punto then only give them a gt engine code so they get the right parts

There is only one size of clutch for the gt. the clutch you got looks like its for 1.1 or 1.2. Deffo go for the LUK over the Borg and beck. Once Borg and beck were real good quality, now they're owned by first line and there crap!

iv been told that the clutch is dead if i hit the revits,
This borg & beck has about 2-3 left til it hit the rivits & dont seem to be worn on the fins,
the LUK one i have thats new has about 1mm til the rivits

Why would there be two sizes for the GT!

It's not been uncommOn for people to receive/pick up/end up with 1.2 sporting clutches, because of a **** up with the wholesaler.
