looks good mate
Update time again.
So I received these today...
How they look now, completely standard obvs.
Started removing the front trim to allow the headlights to slide out.
All out. Simply 3 bolts to remove.
One side done!!
Looks odd without lights haha
Horrible orange indicators!
Started to heat the glue up with the hair dryer but it was taking ages
So I brought out the big guns. HA
10 mins later I removed and they simply peeled off from the plastic lense.
Lense before
And after.
Decided whilst I have the lense to spray the trim inside the hadlight black as it gives a much more aggresive front end.
Slit my finger with the stanley knife and also got loads of overspray on me when I primered haha
One primered, one sprayed black.
Started getting more colourful. oops. Gloves next time!
All done
And with the lense fitted.
Inside the glass.
And finally all sealed up and drying overnight whilst held securely with masking tape. Pics on the car tomorrow. Can't wait.
Any comments would be cool. Cheers.
looks good mate
looking forward to the pics! im sure the black headlights will look smart.
Fitted my headlights back again today, along with blanking my EGR as I'm not a fan of having exhaust gases being re-circulated back into my engine...
Removed the masking tape, used Autosmart Tardis on the lense where some glue residue lingered.
This is the EGR blanking plate.
Very simple to fit, removed the EGR pipe by undoing 2 bolts. Pulled it back a bit as per the pic then cleaned the faces up so the silicone sealant has something to adhere to.
Easy.
Began fitting the lights.
One side in.
Other done.
All done. Pretty chuffed.
Before + After.
Does the egr just vent now?
Vent?
Well if it's not re circulating, where's it going?
Looks loads better. I just whacked ST170 lights in to save time and hassle and sprayed a bit of black paint inside the indicator lens to darken it (indicators are in the bumper on RS). I plan to open them up and do the same as you eventually though, low on the priority list.
Got a pretty bleak update today but i've been too busy driving the thing to do much haha.
I filled up the other day (the fuel light had been on for around 14 miles) 2.8 gallons of V-power stuff, i've done 160 miles and the fuel light has only just come on, around 2 miles ago. Pretty chuffed with those figures!! Looks like all the maintenence stuff has payed off really, Dads brought some fresh oil home from work so will be changing the oil filter and oil this weekend probabably
Removed the back seats, just to save a bit of weight (came to 24kg in the end) as well as I need the space to carry mine and friends trials bikes around so will deffo be more convenient.
How dirty!
Removed the seats
Vacuum cleaned
Bleak update alert..
After having a bit of trouble with ice on the inside of the windscreen decided to change the pollen filter. Don't think I needed to though... ha.
50/50 Ha
Also received some Iron X yesterday so had to test it out Worked wonder on the wheels...
