    Delivery Service December - Jan

    Hi guys,

I thought we should keep our forums up-to-date regarding the current delivery issues we are facing:

We offer 2 delivery services to our internet customers:

Premium 24 Hour - If ordered before 4pm This service should be delivered the next working day (between 07:00 and 19:00) Except for Out of area postcodes, or oversized parcels.

Economy Service - If ordered before 4pm This service is normally delivered in 2-4 working days. (between 07:00 and 19:00) Except for Out of area postcodes, or oversized parcels.

During 'problem Times' WE advise the 24hour delivery to take upto 72 hours from dispatch, and the Economy Service to take 5-7 working days from dispatch.

    If an order is DELAYED for the below reasons, and not delivered on the expected day, ECP will refund the delivery charge in whole. To claim the refund;
    i) Wait until the parcel is delivered -
ii) Contact customer service who will raise a credit
iii) The Delivery charge will be refunded to your account within 3-5 days

Tuesday 6th Dec - Our Carrier (HDNL/YODEL) today faced record volumes - 20% ONTOP of their seasonal forecast, This has caused delays in 6 of their 26 depots. - All orders placed TODAY have been delayed (please see delayed timings above)

Wednesday 7th & Thursday 8th Dec - Our Carrier (HDNL/YODEL) On both of these days had intermittent technical issues with their machinery in their central sorting depot. All orders were dispatched from our Wembley warehouse on time, however HDNL were unable to move these past their sorting office, causing delays.(please see delayed timings above)

Friday 9th - Yodel are working through their backlog, caused by the weather, extra parcels and their technical breakdown, Extra vans have been drafted in for Friday & the weekend. Today we have REMOVED the 24 hour option from our website, to reduce the backlog, as we don't expect it them to be fulfilled.

Saturday 10th - Yodel have spent all of Saturday (& in some areas Sunday) delivering the backlog of parcels - Many customers have received their 24 and 48 hour deliveries on a Saturday service!

WC Monday 12th - Yodel are back to 95% and believe they have cleared all of our backlog (if you still haven't receive an order from Wednesday please let us know) However we have removed all delivery options from our website EXCEPT for our economy service - All economy deliveries from today are expected to be delivered in their normal 2-4 working days.

Remember if you are in a rush for a particular part, why dont you choose our Click & Collect option? - You can still use your forum discount to reserve the parts online, at your local store - And collect them in as little as 15 minutes!

I hope you find the above useful, and I will be updating this through the Christmas season, and as the weather changes.

    UPDATE: 13.12.11 (5pm)

Today We have had to remove the 'Next Day Delivery' option as we can't guarantee it to ANY postcode

    * *Our Courier has cleared most of the back log, however they are reporting volumes, now reaching 200% of their forecast volumes. Most of their Depots are coping with this, however there are certain postcodes which are facing a 3 day delay.

    * *If your Postcode is one of the affected ones, we are expecting deliveries to take 5-7 working days opposed to the standard 2-4 day service. A list of affected postcodes is below:

If you are in a rush for your parts - Please remember Forum members can STILL get their forum discount when using the CLICK & COLLECT service - Simply enter your discount code in the basket, and choose the 'Collect In Store' Option!

    Update: Sat 17th Dec

Since Friday AM we have been forced to stop sending parcels via YODEL as they cannot cope with any extra volume, and some depots are experiencing a delay of up to 10 days!

We have been sending all orders (except for batteries) via DHL Premium Next Day Service (Free of charge) - So if your order is delivered quickly, that'll be why

We still recommend, were possible you use our Click & Collect service - Allowing you to order online, and collect in store!

    Hi Ben,

If you order now, and your NOT in one of the postcodes above, things should be pretty much back to normal.
