When was the headgasket last done on it do you know? Shouldn't cost you much tbh though if you do it yourself, £150 max for a decent headset, bolts, and a skim!

Not sure mate if ever tbh, so I guess with the extra power it was due to fail at some point.
Well pressure test will be £80, HG £39, bolts £20 odd, plus new oil and filter, cambelt & tensioner but also will be buying Curts Port & polished head with piper cam.
Do you think that FSE had its part to play then Andy?

Ahhh fair enough if your having it pressure tested, i dont think i've ever bothered with that, but then that said i've never popped a head gasket......yet? lol
What headgasket you buying? Payen all the way mate, get a full headset for about £70! £20 for the bolts seems expensive. Is the cambelt due? Wouldn't bother changing it if its recently been done.
Tuning an engine by adjusting the fuel pressure leaves a lot to be desired. You're always going to have a compromise somewhere. If tuning by adjusting the fuel pressure was the proper way to do it no-one would make any money in the re-mapping business
