They've done more demolition today! Got the rest of the stack off, scaffolding finished and the ceilings off and in the skip.

I've spent most of my day ringing round sourcing materials.

First lot of building materials have been dropped off...

    Anyone need any wood?

Quite a bit more work done over the past few days! I'll let you see the pictures. The new roof trusses are going on tomoro. Didn't get the chance to take some pictures after work tonight, it was already too dark.

    Next day...

Overall I'm really chuffed how fast it's going up! Obviously all the new brickwork is where the new first floor will be.
Update again tomorrow when hopefully the trusses are in place

Shame the new bricks don't match the old ones. Good progress though.

I did try and get a match for the old 1930's bricks, but it was impossible. I did get somewhere close but new brickwork against old brick work will always look different, even if it was re-pointed it will always look different.

Our solution is to have it renderd, not sure exactly what with yet though.

Another update today, the builder took half a day and left us to deal with the arrival of the roof trusses, which was nice of them! Heavy things to say the least!

    Some more from today....

The trusses at the back of the house are for the garage, put's it in perspective how big it's going to be

We did think about that, but with the shape of the upstairs windows bays wouldnt work. Well they would but it would look odd.
The top of the bay windows are going to be pitched as well, theyre currently covered in lead flashing which I hate the look of!
