Yet another brilliant race my uncle had last month at racalmuto. Those of you who are fans of Minis and Mini World Magazine, will be familiar with his car... Its a complete Chromoly Spaceframe, with home made suspension, lotus elise pedal box and front brakes, and a fibreglass body. The Car is powered by a Honda Blackbird 1100cc engine (now turbocharged running 6psi on a PC2). The car weighs 490kg with driver included, and puts a works E46 M3 GTR to shame on the track... He couldnt engage 3rd gear, but managed to get it in eventually...
So, who were in the Punto and Uno?
Those Uno Turbos are all 300 + BHP, in previous events, they have always kept up with the porsches, but never finished the race, but in this particular weekend they didnt have the power to keep up, but they actually finished the race... so there you go... power Vs Reliability...
