Check your ecu number thats the only way to be sure.
I've put a deposit down on my 3rd GT, picking it up on Friday! Exciting times!!!
However was just a bit curious....
Its an M reg
Its in Broom yellow (not a colour I thought they did on a GT1)
Has GT2 interior
The engine has the fse on the top of the rocker cover...
So is it a GT2 with a GT1 engine?
If anyone can help with this, I'd be very grateful.

colour of skirts?
if its an M reg and not a private plate M or a reshell then youve got a GT1 (car not engine). if its broom yellow with a GT2/GT3 lump and GT2 interior i suspect it could be a donored reshell job but the engine is defo not GT1. you might have a newer car than the 1994/1995 M suggests. see if the VIN on the V5 matches your chassis.
GT1s didnt come in broom. check the color code badge inside your tailgate. If its a GT1 thats been resprayed it wont say "258/A" unless somebody has just swapped that panel and painted the rest of the car to match it or cynically glued on the badge !
GT1 side skirts were black satin plastic not colour coded.
GT1 had stereo controls on the steering wheel.
GT1 badges on the tailgate had the "GT" letters next to Punto, not underneath the word Punto (but your bootlid might say otherwise!)
its obviously had some transplants over the years just like my GT3 with GT1 door cards - but its still a GT3.

the skirts are yellow. Its an M-reg not a private plate. Looks legit, just looks like a GT1 engine from the pics. I'll do the ecu check on friday I guess.
Looks straight enough, and with 12months MOT and 6months tax, Im happy with the purchase, and cant wait to pick it up. Been 4 years since I owned one.
just re-checked the original ad on ebay... its an N reg. What we all thinking now?
got to be a GT2 mate.....
wheres the ebay pic link?
you ought to come in sooner dan..........i spent ages typing that lot.
Its a GT2. I've seen other 2's on N plates. Its a very very early one though. Mines a P but was a 96 registered car
And i think the technical term that should be used for GT2's is "parts bin specials"
