    Matt and Satin paint.

As usual this is really aimed at Matt (Debo). Just wondering what products are available for paint finishes such as matt and satin. Just for the main wash actually using the 2bm and also if there is anything that can be used to protect the paint. Just very curious about this and need the info for future use

    thanks, Tom

Swissvax have a range dedicated to flat finishes like that. They do an opaque shampoo and an opaque wax to later protect the paintwork.

Have a look at www.polishedbliss.co.uk - Swissvax is quite pricey though, its considered to be the market leading manufacturer and has been established the longest..

It's alright mate, I have done it. There's a problem with the forum at present where it is sometimes double posting.

If you don't want to spend too much on Swissvax, Autobrite offer a matte shampoo. Gtechniq also offer C1 for Matte finishes (aptly named C1M I think).

After 'clicking' through a few sites - I found a supplier who sent me some matt detailer to demo on my own rusty fiat cunto.....

Worked a treat, and he'll be advertising on my 'Tune it Up' webpage soon. Really nice product, spray on... wipe off.... then i used a sock (i'm not kidding) to finish it and it really takes the shine off. I'm impressed with it anyway...

If there's anybody in the Norfolk/Suffolk area wishing to try the product, just inbox me

    :-)

(i'll let you know when there's a link on my website)
