Two different things. Launch control allows you to hold the car at high revs and then quickly engage the transmission. How it works, how clever it is and how effective it is varies. Anti-lag is something that keeps the turbo spinning between gear changes so you don't get any lag when you go to the next gear.
I know they are different but as I said have similar effect. Launch control can be set to act in the same was as anti lag. Eg set at 4k, this will allow you to carry things such as flat shifting where as there is no need to come off the gas. Hence staying on boost. Iirc it is created by a series of misfires. Iirc anti lag ignites the fuel in the turbo, or something alike. Hopefully someone can explain in more detail.
