    Help cleaning up my laptop

I haven't used it in over a year, it's only about 2years old so not fit for the bin in my opinion.

Sadly it's as slow as an old dog!

Can anyone give me some advice on cleaning it up?
Also I should add I don't have Internet.

    Cheers all.

Simply insert the disc into the drive and it should auto pickup the disc and its kind of self explanatory.

    Yes you will.

OR you can defragment it and do a disck clean up to get rid of all the temporary files. you also need to clear the recycle bin, and make sure theres is only short cuts on your desktop

This is a common. But doesnt really do anything in this day and age. Computers run so fast that defragmenting a drive dosnt do anything anyway.

The main reason for computers going slow is the amount of programs and things running in the bacground.

Easyest way to get rid is a fresh installation.

Doing that you will loose everything.
But if you back it all up to a USB stick or something youll be fine.

If it came with discs one of them will be to reformat your PC, if not its most likley built in and there will be some recovery software on it to start the format.

If you have non of those borrow a disc from a friend

I would only do this if its running really bad, if its not to bad then just uninstall everything you dont really use and see if that helps.
