    New Wheels

    Hey all as im staying aroung thought i'd share the new wheels with you.
    Something of a luxury for the family lol, although we have the Focus i thought it was about time i grew up again
    Back to Jap Lexus IS200 SE 2.0 VVT-i 24V, RWD with LSD, Cream Leather/Alacantra interior, 84k,
    Standard apart from Janspeed full stainless exhaust.

    Nice looking cars but very underpowered. V6's should be 2.5 minimum IMO. I'm looking at Toyota altezza's for next year. Import version with 200bhp 4pot yamaha engine.

    Better than the Punto anyhow

    Yeah i didnt really buy for the engine mate So agree that its underpowered for the size but still pulls well and sounds pretty cool.

    Purchased for looks and the luxury lol, always had a soft spot for them its got eveything i want from a car as a runaround.

    Spot on then buddy, sorry if sounded like was putting it down as I wasn't. They are a lovely car, just think they could have done more, like the is300.

    i love the is 200 s from day 1 no need for new wheels this is why i fel in love with them back in the day don't glorify it
    lower it soon look different

    when i was doing valeting all the lexus i come across all had very bad wheel corrosion , get them refurbed for half the price of new style rims .//stealth.//

    looks alright that does.did you open the bonnet when you brought it Barry? cos their a straight 6 not a v6! .

    Liking it Barry, I'm another that's got a soft spot for these, sister in laws old man has got the 3.0l with a janspeed stystem and it sounds wicked. Used to love these when they was in the btcc back in "01 season.
    Oh and agreeing with phil there inline 6 I'm sure of it.
    But yeah defo good choice there Barry!!

    Always been a fan of these.

    Altezza has a Toyota engine developed with Yam, rev to 10k apparently? Do many get imported to the UK?

    There's a couple of guys on sxoc that have them. I'm seriously thinking about one, as doubt realistically gonna afford an evo.
