Got a 3M one ordered (medium) so will give claying a go this weekend.

these clay bars can also be used on the windows right, to remove contaminants??? my glass feels rough as a badgers ****.

    Claying

Meguiars is good stuff. You can get the whole kit in a box. Clay bars, lubricant, wax polish and lint free cloth. (It is recommended that you apply a coat of polish after claying to protect the paintwork). Not cheap but it's good stuff. Halfords sell it.
