I'm not a fan of spalttered paint....so you are on your own for that....but defo red to contrast the yellow IMO....going yellow on yellow will be overkill of the yellow...just like Coldplay were back in 2000

Rather than splatter use different colour glitter, subtle with a bit of colour, e.g., black paint with red glitter maybe red metallic bits?

I've just sprayed my rocker cover in red and I think it's way too much. I'm thinking of spraying it black as originally planned and then spraying the horizontal lines in red.

I'll take a pic tomorrow for you and you'll know what I'm on about with the latter.

    That's what I'm doing.
Yellow car with black and red details, as too much yellow would just look waayyy too tacky IMO.

Too much red would look too tacky as well, if you want to prevent the 'tacky-ness' just go for a black finish with a detail of your desired colour.

My rocker cover is too red to be honest. I'm going to respray it black then the horizontal lines that are raised I'll spray red.
    My engine bay.
