    i work for fiat and alfa..........no never owned one but driven alot of them and they are quick......... never driven one with Q2 limited slip diff.... that would be intresting

    Its going to be a workhorse, daily. I dont want to be fitting a new diff to a car. Whatever I get ain't gonna be modified in anyway

    same with me i have an estate car thats sporty got all the kit on it, but all totally standard sometimes its nice to get into a nice standard car... i think anyway

    Baring power a mapped diesel gives better mpg. If I get a petrol it won't get touched

    I would stay clear of an impreza wagon if I were you. Running costs are a lot, and reliability can be a problem. And you'll be waiting for the day when the death knock starts.
    I'm assuming you'll be after a classic impreza for 4k. They're starting to look old these days as well!

    signums still go for around 4-4500 for a good sports one irmcher < how ever you spell it lmao ( same one as i have )

    Always like 3 series and 5 series tourers, however they hold they're money quite well considering the market is flooded with them!

    to be honest i love my signum as you say u get alot of car for ur money, must admit its not everones cup of tea but in my area u dont see any of them, thats why i love it even more lol....

    BMW E34 shape M5 Tourer!! Awesome cars again but very rare.

    If you fancy something Jap - how about a Galant VR4 Estate? They are pretty rapid although not sure on prices.

    I wouldn't touch a scooby with a bardge pole. As above they can be an awful lot to run and a 'bargain 2-4K car' can soon see bills matching that value. Then there's the image and the fact they are getting long in the tooth.
