    Talking Detailing an Alfa V6!!

    Hi all!
Not sure if it really counts but we all like picutres!! So i have a few of how it started out and where it ended up!!

    Here we go...

    This is how it started!

First up expansion tank, i used bleach and rice! Worked well!

    Before:

    After:

So thats one bit down so lets take a look at how it is now:

    Pretty damm manky!!!

    So lets start stripping!

First of Changed the oil cooler to as it was leaking! Upgraded it to a 16 row version to get a bit extra cooling!

    On with the engine stripping!

    Intake

    Oily!

    Acid etch primmer:

    RED!!!

All stainless fittings! No more rusty bolts for me!

    Going back togther!

    Fuel rails painted and fitted

Chrome inlet runner cleaned and fitted!

    Throttle body fitted

Now, we all know the MAF bolts rust up so i replaced with new stainless items too!!

New silicon inlet pipe vs old one!

    Getting there!

I also fitted a catch tank to stop the engine breathing crap!!

Modified the airbox inlet to remove the old little boxes:

    Plastic welded:

    Well here we are!!

    Thats all for now!

a great result when you go back and compare how it used to look.
the new air filter pipework looks much better too. one of the best looking engines ever with those 6 chrome inlets.

can i ask how you sourced all the new bolts and washers? did you just take your rusty ones in somehwere and ask for SS replacements?

    lovely job mate.

can you not run the catchtank pipes under the air filter pipe, i think it would look better.

I really need to do my engine covers too, that's my next job.
