    v power issue

right getting the hump with this stupid expensive stuff called petrol.
Logic would lead you to believe your car would run better on 99octane than 95octane. Now i filled my car up 95 last friday. Car felt fine but did notice it didnt pull as hard has the 99. But when i had the 99 in last i noticed at 10psi you could feel a hesitation. But running the 95 i dididnt notice this hesitation. Then this morning my light came on so thought ill fill up but go back to my 99 octane. Now the cars hesitatin again and the idles pretty much gone out the window. Its gotta be related cause again its at that 10psi point it backs of a lil then pulls through.
Seriously is this my car or is v power generally crap?

using a high octane fuel wont make it run better or more power. it will actually reduce power as high octane fuel contains less energy. v power is probley the best fuel, as ive heard of tests carried out on it and its around 102 octane. great for high comp or big boosted engines.

From what I've heard, Higher octane petrol burns better, healthier for your engine etc, dunno about higher power though.

running a higher octane fuel allows you to advance the timing with out det which in turns creates more power

I dont think u would notice any difference in using the V power, seen as the GT was mapped by fiat using 95 RON petrol

but is better to use the V power on high powerd high comp engine's running standalone management that can be mapped to use the higher octane

i use tesco 99octane mostly as its cheaper than vpower and i get more mpg from 99 than 95 octane and ive never had problems with it wen i had the sporting i used vpower on a weekend to clean the engine up a bit as thats what it does supposedly and to thrash around
    lol
