Can yes. Dependant upon how many resources they want to devote to "monitoring", this may be limited to DHCP server and gateway session logs, traffic analysis etc.
New job etc... Wifi at work... If I'm surfing on my iPhone etc, can it be monitored??

I woulnt of thought it was constantly monitored, just encase they suspect someone is pissing about, less than a dozen networked computers and not that sophisticated tbh...
Just stay off the interweb. This forum can survive without you lad!!
The question is, can I survive without this forum? lol.
It's for alsorts tbh, just wondered!

Yes they can, I had the lovely job of monitoring whilst on my placement year.
Social networking sites, BBC News/Sport are the favourites and when the world cup was on it was the online betting sites. All they do is put in the websites name into their monitoring tool and if you go on it a log will be generated, then a report can be printed.
Reports such as internet usage, how long you were on a site for can all be logged. Your better off going through your mobile web allowance on your phone.
Maybe Ben is referring to the team that would look after the servers because they have a majority of the monitoring tools.
In a nutshell Dan, don't use the internet other than for work. Try and use 3G if you can. There will be some sort of company policy to prevent you from using the internet, only for work purposes etc etc.
